Colts offensive lineman Anthony Richardson is unintentionally disrespected by Dan Campbell.

After the Detroit Lions defeated the Indianapolis Colts 24-6, head coach Dan Campbell made some remarks that caused some controversy. In an interview with the crew on 97.1 The Ticket on Tuesday, Campbell expressed his relief that the Lions’ defence was able to get on the field first since the Colts chose to take the ball after winning the coin toss. But in the process, Campbell inadvertently insulted the Colts’ offence, which was led by quarterback Anthony Richardson.Campbell was quoted by SI as saying, “Yeah, it was awesome because we wanted to play defence.” It was ideal since I wanted to play defence initially. It varies. What does that week look like? The adversary? We would like to begin that week with an energy that may make you feel as though you’vepossess an edge, or you believe you can establish the tone or get some early momentum. Campbell’s remarks appeared to minimise the Colts’ offensive potential, implying that he was more at ease with the defence on the field first. The Lions’ defence ultimately performed just as Campbell had wanted. They came out strong, slowing Richardson and the Colts’ attack, and forcing a red-zone stop early in the game.
