Following a number of defensive player injuries, the Detroit Lions have taken action. The Lions officially added defensive tackle Myles Adams off the Seattle Seahawks practice squad, in addition to the previously reported additions of Kwon Alexander and Jonah Williams. Adams was plucked from an opponent practice and will be on the Lions’ 53-man roster.In the end, Detroit managed to defeat Chicago 23–20 on Thanksgiving in spite of numerous injuries. The defensive line’s performance, especially that of DJ Reader, Al-Quadin Muhammad, and Za’Darius Smith, contributed to the team’s victory. Reader had the most sacks with two, although all three guys had at least one.Adams was added to the Seahawks’ practice squad after being removed from their active roster. Among the three games he has participated in is Seattle’s defeat over Detroit in Week 4. Since starting his career in 2021, the four-year veteran has participated in 26 games overall, all with the Seahawks. Adams, a former Rice University teammate of Jack Fox, has 363 defensive snaps in his career and has primarily been used in the defensive interior. The Lions dismissed wide receiver Maurice Alexander and placed defensive end Mekhi Wingo and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez on injured reserve to create room for the three acquisitions.
